Raghav Rao is an Indian-born, Chicago-based writer.

Born in Mumbai, Raghav spent his formative years in London and Los Angeles. When his family moved back to India, he lived between Mumbai and school in Andhra Pradesh.

He currently lives in Chicago. He teaches Creative Writing at Loyola University Chicago. He teaches a class on HBO's 'The Wire' and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is an associate of the Office of Modern Composition.

In May, you will find him birding during the migration season at Jackson Park and the Magic Hedge at Montrose Point. He obsessively enjoys playing squash and in the summertime bikes along the lakeshore.
